Investment Management
Introduction
Our advisory investment management service is designed for you if you have capital to invest either personally, through a pension scheme or within a trust. It aims to make the most out of your capital whether this is to accumulate wealth, provide income or to meet a specific investment target. This can be for both lump sum and regular capital investments.
Unlike with discretionary fund managers, with Kilkee you retain complete control of your investments as we will not make any changes to your portfolio without your consent.
Investment Process
Before we will create an investment portfolio we will discuss with you your objectives for any investment and your attitude to risk and loss. We can also discuss any ethical or environmental investment paramaters you may have.
Studies have shown that the key driver of investment performance is asset allocation, not market timing or stock selection. Therefore we concentrate on creating diversified investment portfolios using a number of different asset classes. The allocation of which will depend on your objectives, attitude to risk and investment timescale.
We use a combination of passive and active fund strategies. This allows you to benefit from the consistent out-performance of an index over the longer term that some active fund managers are able to produce, and to benefit from the lower costs of buying passive funds.
